Tuesday was productive with 2 steelhead and one 23 inch brown. The report for today so far is that the river is slow.
He saw the other boats fishing around the Rock Pile had 8 - 10 fish on today and a few from shore.
The big story is the River Flow which is currently at:
DISCHARGE: 2,810
Temp: 7 c ( 44.8 F )
Gage Height 9.37
04125550 | MANISTEE RIVER NEAR WELLSTON, MI | 04/13 12:00 EST | 7.0 | 9.37 | 2,810 |
At this time the fishing is a little slow, but the water temp is just beginning to hit that perfect zone. Once the river flow is slowed just a bit it should be PRIME!
Today "SteelSlam" had his 45 lb chain anchor down with almost 45 foot of line out to hold his position. Any small movement and the boat and it wanted to drift again. That same hole normally is 18 to 20 foot of line and no drifting.
In Short the water is MOVING Strong for a bit yet.
Good Luck
