The morning fishing was very cool, snowing and little wind.
It was a very peaceful time and with the overcast it seemed like it would be starting off to be a good steelhead fishing day.
I went down river a bit where the water slowed up just a little and began to drift a waxworm / grub fly that I made up with just a little touch of crystal flash to give it a slight sparkle.
After a few flips of the fly into a nice run - a very large steelhead rolled but missed the fly and I wasn't able to get it to respond again. I caught a glimpse of a few other fish, but no takers.
